Testing & Tagging of Electrical Appliances

The Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001 took effect from September 2001, and allowed 12 months grace to employers to comply with the requirements for testing and tagging of all electrical appliances, and an extended period of 2 years for small businesses.

Essentially, the regulation requires all electrical appliances to be tested within the limits of the Australian and New Zealand AS/NZS 3760:2001, and specifies the periods between tests, and specific logging of information such as tester's name, date, result of test, as well as the date the next test is due.

These tests even include the electrical kettle in the lunch room.

Use our experience and training to save you stress. Our staff can supply the service, testing, take care of all the necessary records, reminders, and print and attach labels from a computerized test set.
